Topo Profiler 3.0をリリースしました。App Storeで入手可能になっています。

今回のリリースの主な内容はiOS 6 および iPhone 5への対応のための変更です。 その他にいくつかのバグフィックスを含んでいます。

iOS 6ではアップル社の仕様変更のためにシステム組み込みのMapKitがGoogleマップのデータを利用しなくなりアップル社独自のものになりました。しかし、Topo Profilerで利用している高度データはGoogle Maps Elevation APIを利用して得ており、その利用規約ではデータを保存してはいけないことなどに加えて、データはGoogleマップとともに表示しなくてはならないことが決められています。そこでiOS 6においても利用規約に従うためにTopo ProfilerではiOS 6環境の時にはアプリ組み込みのブラウザコンポーネントUIWebViewにGoogle Maps JavaScript APIを用いてGoogleマップを表示して利用することにしました。iOS5以前の環境では従来通りネイティブのMapKitを利用します。

そのためiOS 6においても表示されるマップはGoogleマップのものになります。またネイティブのMapKitに比べるとJavaScriptを利用するためにややパフォーマンスが落ちる部分があるようです。（仕様の制限のために完全に同じ使い勝手とはなっていませんが）ネイティブのMapKitを利用するiOS 5以前のものとほぼ同様の機能、UIを実現しています。

Topo Profiler 3.0 is released and is available in App Store.

This update includes supports for iOS 6 and iPhone 5. It also includes some bug fixes which are reported by users. We appreciate your feedbacks.

Regarding iOS 6 supports, Apple changed a system's MapKit  to use their own map data instead of those of Google Maps from iOS 6. On the other hand, Topo Profiler uses elevation data of Google Maps Elevation API service and the service requires the app to show a map of Google Maps simultaneously when showing their elevation data. Then, to comply with the terms of services, the app was revised such that it shows Google Maps  even in iOS 6 environment using an embedded browser component UIWebView which loads Google Maps JavaScript API. In iOS 4 and 5 environments, the app uses a native MapKit.

Although the performance of JavaScript version of Google Maps is a little less than that of native MapKit version, we developed such that the new version's behavior and UI are almost the same as those of previous version.

Topo Profiler 2.2をリリースしました。AppStoreで入手可能になっています。
今回のリリースでは新機能として「高低図での部分範囲選択モード」「簡易的現在地表示機能」を実装しました。「高低図での部分範囲選択モード」は高低図内をタップしたときに、パスの一部分を選択して、その部分範囲の距離、高低差、平均勾配を表示するものです。全体の中の一部分の勾配を知りたい場合に役に立つモードです。「簡易的現在地表示機能」はマップに現在地を表示し、現在位置が作成パス上にあれば高低図内に対応する点を表示します。また、新しいオプションとして「経路の全体データ表示」オプションを追加しました。このオプションが有効なときはパス作成時に中継点が追加されるごとに全体距離をラベル表示します。また高低図表示時にパス全体の距離、高低差を表示します。

Topo Profiler 2.2 Released (en)

Topo Profiler 2.2 is released and now available in AppStore.
This update add new features "Range selection mode in a profile" and "Basic current location tracking".
"Range selection mode in a profiler" is a mode to select a range in a profile when tapping in a graph. Corresponding data (distance, height difference,...) to selected region is also shown in a label. By "Basic tracking current location" feature, it is now possible to show a current location on a map. If the current location is on a path, a point corresponding to current location is shown on a profile.
In this update, new option "show overall data of path" is added. It is for showing basic data (total distance, height difference) of a path when its profile is shown.

Topo Profiler 2.1をリリースしました。AppStoreで入手可能になっています。
今回のリリースでは「経路モードでの通過点が多いパス（約20点以上）について、ブックマークからの読み込み時や標高データ取得時にエラーとなったりクラッシュする場合がある」という不具合を修正しました。これはGoogle Maps APIへのリクエスト要求頻度が制限を超えてしまう場合に起こる現象であり、リクエスト頻度が大きくならないように一定数リクエストごとに少しの待ち時間を入れるようにしました。ユーザーの皆様からのフィードバックに感謝します。また、小さな機能追加としてオプションで各点での局所的な勾配値を表示できるようにしました。これは前後のサンプリング点から中心差分で計算しているものです。

Topo Profiler 2.1 Released (en)

Topo Profiler 2.1 is released and now available in AppStore.
This update version fixed an issue that the app might crash when a path data consisting of many route-mode waypoints was loaded or elevation data of such path were requested. We're grateful for your feedbacks. This update also includes a small new feature that shows a local gradient value at a selected point on profile at an option.

今回のアップデートではiPadに対応し、iPadでも最適な表示ができるようになりました。第3世代iPadのretinaディスプレイにも対応しています。ユニバーサルアプリですので一回のご購入でiPhoneでもiPadでもご利用頂けます。

今回のアップデートではブックマーク機能を追加しました。作成した計測パスをブックマークとして保存し、後で復元することができます。
